What is Quartz?
Quartz is the second most abundant mineral in earth’s continental crust. There are many different varieties of quartz, giving us one of our most popular hearth materials with a great range of colours.
Note that because quartz is non-porous it resists staining much better than granite and slate so sealing is not needed.
